Dock is a common broadleaf weed often found in lawns and in flowerbeds.
Dock can be difficult to control because of it long tap roots.

Dock is a broad-leaf weed often found in lawns and scrub areas. It is perennial and grows a long tap root.
In mown lawns it produces small prostrate leaves, but in waste areas or where it is allowed to grow it will grow upright and produce large flat leaves and out compete other plants for light.
Traditionally dock leaves can be rubbed on nettle stings to reduce itching and aid recovery.
