Fusarium is a fungal disease of lawns. It causes grass leaves to loose colour, brown and die. Fusarium patches are circular and can grow to 50 cm in diameter.
The larvae of Daddy Long Legs Crane flies are known as Leather Jackets. They are 15-25mm brown grubs found in soil and rotting vegetation. They feed on the roots of some plants including lawn grass and can cause damage similar to that of grass grub.
Phosphorous is essential for the health of lawn grass as well as other plants in the garden. Slow growth, dead patches of lawn and burnt looking grass can be a symptom.
