Peach leaf curl is a common disease of peaches, nectarines and plums.

Identifying

In spring infected leaves become swollen, thicken and curl. Infected areas will become pale and may go red. Heavily infected leaves will drop. Shoots may become infected, and become stunted.

Note that aphids on the undersides of leaves may cause similar symptoms.

Solving

Tips

Peach Leaf Curl disease is common in cool, wet, spring weather. It usually stops when weather dries. Do not wet stree foliage if watering in cool conditions.
