Tree lupins are soft wooded shrub with attractive yellow flowers. They are often seen colonising sandy areas, riverbeds and roadsides.
Tree lupins can grow to 3 mtres tall. They are not readily eaten by stock and can grow in pasture and paddocks. Some species of lupin can be toxic to stock. The yellow flowered tree lupin has a strong scent but it's blue cousin is not scented.
The Russell Lupin is common on roadsides and has highly attractive spikes of flowers in pink, white, yellow, orange blue and purple.
Alternatively cut down the tree lupin and immediately apply Invade Gel to the cut stump.
