Insect pests cause damage to many plants in the garden and others pester us while we are trying to enjoy the outdoor experience.

• Sap sucking insects - Aphids (greenfly), whitefly, psyllids, mealy bugs, plant hoppers and scale insects suck the sap of roses and other plants. Ants can be included here because many species 'farm' aphids, encouraging the damage done to our plants and protecting the aphids from their natural predators.
• Sap sucking insects are transmitters of plant fungal infections, viral and bacterial infections such as Psyllid Yellows (Zebra Chip) to tomatoes, potatoes and capsicums.
• Plant eaters - Caterpillars and other insect larvae such as cutworms, leafrollers, fruit worm and loopers eat our fruit, vegetables and the leaves and roots of all sorts of plants, .
• Nuisence insects - Wasps buzz the barbecue and may even attack us with their stings, fliespester us when sun bathing, cluster fly larvae attack beneficial earth worms and then the adult flies invade our homes, spiders produce webbing that in unsightly. Slaters, earwigs and grubs get in our vegetable patch, eat the vegetables.
• Lawn and pasture damaging insects such as grass grub, black field crickets eat grass roots and often cause browning off of grassed areas.

Sprinkle granules over the problem areas, then water in well. The insecticide is carried into the soil where the grubs are feeding, or by direct contact of the porina caterpillar in their tunnels.

NO INSECTS CARBARYL 80

This is a general garden insecticide used for the control of insects on ornamentals. It contains 80% carbaryl as opposed the the 5% carbaryl in NO Wasps Dust. Worms are normally beneficial to soil condition, carbaryl is highly toxic to worms and should be used sparingly on soils. However, carbaryl can be used to control worms on bowling greens and where worms are not wanted.
