Directions & Product Label
1. Apply Weed Weapon Woody Weed XT directly to the lower stem / trunk of individual, targeted woody weed.
2. Applications should aim to wet the entire circumference of the target stem / trunk to effectively chemically ring bark the plant.
  1. For herbaceous weeds, apply the product to the lower part of the stem for single-stemmed species or into the centre of the crown for low-growing, rosette forming plants.
3. Apply this product according to the equipment used:
  1. Ground Application: Apply Weed Weapon Woody Weed XT only with hand-directed equipment such as a low-moderate pressure knapsack, drench gun or hand–held wand / lance or a paintbrush.
  2. Aerial application: Must only be applied as a directed application onto the trunk of the target tree weed with a moderate pressure targeted wand / lance, using a helicopter as an operational platform.

Helpful tips
- Read instructions thoroughly before use and retain instructions label for future reference.
- Weed Weapon Woody Weed XT is an oil–based ready–to–use liquid and should not be used or diluted with any other chemicals. It will not mix with water.
- This product controls a wide range of woody and semi–woody weeds. Follow up treatments on some species may be necessary to obtain more complete control.
- Do not apply to crops – Weed Weapon Woody Weed XT must not be used on plants intended to produce food for consumption by humans or animals. This product must not be applied in areas that may be grazed by food–producing animals.
- Ground–based applications: This substance must only be applied with hand-directed equipment or a paintbrush.
- Aerial applications: This substance must only be applied as a directed application onto the trunk of the target tree weed with hand–directed equipment using a helicopter as a working platform. This substance must not be applied from a fixed wing aircraft.
- Animal safety: Some poisonous woody weeds may become more palatable after treatment. If concerned that animals may be affected, animals should be kept away from the area until the plants have died.
- Do not add water to herbicide and / or do not apply over water. Do not apply with a mist blower.
- Do not allow product to contact non-target species. Treat target weeds and wilding trees only.
- It is recommended that a paintbrush be used to apply the herbicide in these situations. Weed Weapon Woody Weed XT can be applied to trees with bark that is damp from fog, mist, dew and light rainfall etc. Light rainfall during use will have minimal effect on the treatment but use on trees with drenched bark and during heavy rainfall is not recommended. Apply using properly maintained equipment in accordance with the New Zealand Standard for the Management of Agrichemicals (NZS8409).
- Best results will be achieved when applied to actively growing trees or in the autumn when sap flow is moving back down to the roots.
- Applications should only be made when there is little or no potential for spray drift. Very small quantities of spray, which may not be visible, may seriously injure susceptible plants. Do not spray when wind is blowing towards susceptible crops or ornamental plants. Drift can be reduced by using pressures no greater than are required to obtain adequate coverage; by using large droplet producing nozzle tips and by applying when wind velocity is low. Do not apply with nozzles that produce a fine droplet.
- Application equipment should be used at moderate pressure, up to 200kPa, to avoid splashing.
