Weed Weapon Picloram Gel SDS

1. Apply gel within 15 seconds of cutting weed. Do not brush vigorously, avoid foaming.
2. Apply the product according to the problem you want to address:
   1. Woody shrubs and weeds: Cut down below the lowest green growth and immediately apply the gel. Apply a thick layer to cover the cut surface by either tipping the applicator bottle upside down or by painting with a brush.
   2. Trees with cut stump (including barberry, broom, buddleia, cotoneaster, elder, gorse, hawthorn, matagouri, pine, poplar, privet, sweet briar, tutu, wattle, willow, woolly nightshade, etc.): Cut stem close to ground level (2 – 10cm) and immediately apply gel to freshly cut surface. Ensure complete cover. Alternatively, for larger shrubs and trees with a trunk diameter greater than 15cm, 4 or more evenly spaced cuts, about 2cm deep, can be made with an axe or saw into the trunk near ground level. Apply the gel liberally into the cuts.
   3. Ivy and other creeping weeds (including banana passionfruit, blue morning glory, greater bindweed, honeysuckle (Himalayan, Japanese), ivy (Cape, English, German, etc.), jasmine, old man’s beard, vines, etc.): Cut the weed back as much as possible, approximately 2 – 10 above ground. Immediately apply a thick layer (3 – 5mm) on the cut surface.

Weed Weapon Picloram Gel SDS

• Read instructions thoroughly before use and retain instructions label for future reference.
• Do not apply to crops – Weed Weapon Picloram Gel must not be used on plants intended to produce food for consumption by humans or animals. This product must not be applied in areas that may be grazed by food–producing animals. This product may only be applied using ground–based equipment.
• Ensure treated leaves do not come in contact with desirable plants.
• This product may be directly applied to leaves or cut stems using a brush–head applicator bottle or by direct painting using a stiff short–bristled brush. If applying using a brush, after brush transfer the amount of product to be used in one session to a separate container to avoid cross–contamination of remaining product.
• Although Weed Weapon Picloram Gel may be applied at any time of the year, it is best applied when plants are actively growing in spring or autumn.
• Do not use if rain is expected within 12 hours.
• Complete death of particularly large trees or shrubs may take several months. Repeat treatments will be necessary if regrowth occurs.
• To minimise risks to any desirable tree the weed may be climbing, care should be taken to avoid the gel contacting the desirable tree. Damage may also occur to desirable plants should the gel be washed into the root zone, and alternative control methods should be considered.
