- Apply with well–maintained and calibrated spray equipment.
- Follow application method and dilution rate according to equipment of choice.
Radiata Pine:
- Aerial: 16 – 20L of TerbHex in 150 – 300L water per hectare. For the control of paspalum, kikuyu and other perennial grasses, the addition of an approved selective grass killer at label rates is recommended.
- Spot application: Calibrate the equipment to deliver 1.6 – 2mL of TerbHex per square metre in sufficient water to gain good coverage. Treat 2 square metres around each tree.
- Spotgun: Mix 110mL of TerbHex in 1L of water and apply 15 – 20mL of the mixture per square metre.
- Knapsack: Mix 55mL of TerbHex in 1L of water and apply 30 – 40mL of the mixture per square metre. Use the higher rates on seedling gorse, or tall, rank weed growth, or where a longer residual is required.
Non-cropland areas, Industrial areas, roadsides, etc:
- Aerial: 16 – 25L / ha in 200 – 300L of water. Apply sufficient spray to evenly cover the vegetation. Use the lower rate on light soils and the higher rate on soils with a high clay content and where long term weed control is desired. Where paspalum is present, add Weed Weapon Glyphosate 510 at label rates.
- Handgun: 2L in 100L of water. Apply to obtain good even coverage of the vegetation ensuring that the application rate equates to around 1000L of spray mix per hectare. Apply in spring and autumn prior to major growth periods. Rainfall within 3 hours of application may reduce effectiveness. Re–treatment should be considered after heavy rain.
