Potato plants are herbaceous perennials that grow about 60 cm high, depending on variety. The leaves die back after flowering, fruiting and tuber formation. The tubers are the common potato used in cooking.

- Potato plants are usually easily dug out. It would be important to remove all tubers to stop new season's growth.
