White butterfly caterpillars are pests of cabbages, cauliflowers, sprouts and other brassicas and plants in the vegetable patch.
Identify the problem
White butterfly are the adults of a caterpillar that can do great damage to cabbage and other similar plants in the garden vegetable patch and other plants.
To get rid of white butterfly caterpillars:
- For white butterfly caterpillars use Organic Caterpillar BioControl. This product contains the naturally occurring soil bacterium, Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki (Btk). It only controls caterpillars (insect larvae) and is completely harmless to adult insects, birds, animals and people. It can safely be applied to the cabbages and other brassicas that the white butterfly caterpillars eat and there is no withholding period.
