Honeysuckles including Japanese honeysuckle and Himalayan honeysuckle grow fast and the Japanese honeysuckle has a climbing smothering habit.
Honeysuckle vines are vigorous climbers with wiry stems that twine around shrubs and trees. They produce white/yellow flowers. Himalayan honeysuckle is a large perennial shrub with many stems and drooping deep red flowers.
*Cut vines at waist height (summer-autumn) and spray foliage below; the more of the weed that is sprayed the better the control will be.
