Starweed is a weed of the plantain family. It is common in waste places and lawns.

Identify the problem
Starweed forms clumps of rosette weeds which have a distinctive star-like appearance. They stay low to the ground and are a nuisance in fine lawns such as bowling greens.
How to solve the problem
In Lawns
- Apply the selective herbicide LawnPro Turfclean Ultra or LawnPro Turfclean. This will effectively control plantains but will leave lawn grasses unaffected. Spot treat with Weed Weapon Invade Gel or Weed Weapon Rapid Action. These Weed Weapon products are systemic and kills weeds down to the roots within 2-4 days.
- For best results use in Spring and Autumn when weeds and turf are growing.
In Garden Beds
