Moss, Mould, Algae, Lichens in Artificial Turf Lawn

Posted in Cleaning Advice on March 01, 2019

Keep Your Artificial Grass Clean

Artificial lawns are becoming more and more popular, not just in sports and amenity gardens, but as a low maintenance option for home lawns.

They may be low maintenance, not requiring mowing or fertilisers, but they do occasionally need some help to stay looking good, fresh and green. Mosses, black moulds, algal slimes, lichens and weeds will grow on artificial turf.

However, control of these biological growths is much easier in artificial turf than it would be in natural grass lawns.

For the moss, mould, algae and lichen you can spray the artificial turf with SORTED Moss & Mould which will kill these growths and stop them returning for an extended period. Leafy weeds such as grasses and broadleaf weeds can be sprayed with Weed Weapon Extra Strength or Weed Weapon Long Term without harm to the turf.

For an organic option, Weed Weapon Natural Power can be used, and it will be quick to get rid moss, mould, algae and lichen, but a word of caution, that it may make the surfaces slippery for a while.
